Rev. Dr. Emma Farrell The work of sustained cultural change – the change needed to heal our world and put love back at the center – is done through relationships. In this age of rising authoritarianism, individualism, and an epidemic of loneliness, what does it look like to broaden our horizons and make room for the authentic relationships needed to cultivate this healing change?

Pride Parade wrap-up
The Sex & Gender Justice Team wishes to thank Bill Schuyler and Rich McKnight for their generous donation that enabled the church to have a new parade banner printed, as well as bracelets to hand out at the Rockford Area Pride Parade.
Remember: Send your best photos from the parade to the church office. Not only will they become a part of our history, but they will also help create a snapshot of who we are, as we begin our search for a new minister.

The first concert is Yazmin and Beat Zero on Friday, August 7, from 6-8 p.m. Their music is a blend of Afro-Cuban, Latin-Jazz,
funk, and fold/rock, guaranteed to make you want to dance! Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students and are available online at

The 2nd concert will be Saturday, September 12, from 2-4 p.m. with Ernie Hendrickson and Friends doing a tribute to the Grateful Dead. The last concert is versatile solo guitarist Ruth Wyand on Saturday, November 14, from 2-4 p.m. Concerts are held in the sanctuary, which has wonderful acoustics.
