Children in grades 4 through 6 typically begin their Sunday mornings in the sanctuary with the whole congregation for the first portion of service. After the Story for All Ages, they are invited to go downstairs to participate in a Religious Education class. Classes are typically led by Lindsay Dunn, Director of Religious Education, with the help of a rotating group of volunteers.

Each week, the 4th through 6th grade RE class checks in with one another, lights a chalice, reviews the 7 principles and their class covenant, and then engages in activities related to the month’s theme. Children are given a variety of activities to choose from each Sunday.

From time to time, this class will join with the 1st through 3rd grade class for large-group activities, including outdoor exploration, service projects, and summer fun.
