Imagine! Your Blessing to the World
March 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Online and in-person
Rev. Bret Lortie
The idea that every gift counts is counter cultural. We live in a culture that promotes a myth of scarcity and isolation. It claims: “We may not have enough.” It lies: “There’s nothing you can do to change the way things are.” It spews: “We cannot possibly build something greater than our small lives, something that will last the ages. This church stands in fierce opposition to these illusions. Come, let us build together the affirming church that says, “Imagine the possibilities.”
We will share the plate with Sustain Rockford
Sustain Rockford’s main vision is to be a community organization that educates and advocates for practices and policies that protect our community’s land, air, and water to benefit all. We work to accomplish this by close collaboration with those citizens, organizations, businesses, and governmental bodies that have a heart for our community and its ongoing sustainability and resilience. Sustainability is not just about air, water, and clean energy. It is also about social equity, economic stability, equal opportunities, and health. We often talk about the triple bottom line – people, planet, and profit. True sustainability must include all three. Click Here to Donate

WCCC
Join us for our last WCCC meeting before the March 17th primary! We will be discussing City of Rockford’s vote for a new contract with FLOCK which has a history of violating Illinois State law and, in one instance, allowed a sheriff’s office in Texas to illegally access data collected in Illinois to search for a woman believed to be seeking abortion care in Illinois. See link to article below. As the criminalization of people seeking reproductive care, we must do what we can to safeguard privacy rights in Illinois. Hope you will join us in this important work.
