Prophets and Profit June 12, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Online and in-person Rev. Dr. Matthew Johnson
Throughout history, people have claimed that wealth and power are a consequence or a sign of spiritual blessing. It is the gods, or God, who has made them profitable. But others have said that it is more important to be prophetic than to make a profit. We’ll explore the relationship between faithfulness and “the bottom line.”

Annual Meeting this Sunday After Service
This Sunday is our annual meeting, right after church. Please plan to attend. If you are in person, just stay in the sanctuary – we’ll start 5 minutes after worship. If you have children in RE, please go and get them – they can come to the meeting, or perhaps caregivers can collectively designate someone to be on the playground with them. If you are online, join the zoom:
Topic: 2022 Annual Meeting
Time: Jun 12, 2022, 11:00 AM Central Time (US and Canada)
We will elect officers and approve budget-related items. We’ll also approve the revised mission and vision that the Board worked on this year. Please look at this agenda in advance!
If you have any questions, please ask me, President Amanda Tapfield, or Treasurer Teresa Wilmot in advance.
All members can vote on these items. Please participate so that we can carry out the work of the church together.
Justice for All & Faith in Action
Our next meeting is this Sunday, June 12 after the Annual Meeting in the Library. Our goal is to finish our study on Widening the Circle of Concern, Chapters 9 and 10; and transition to Faith in Action.

Urgent and Important message regarding Auctria auction bidding…
It is awkward, but if you are bidding on a place in a dinner event, you must make a new bid for each person attending.
We apologize for making it difficult, but most people seem to have figured it out and are bidding twice, if that is their intent. Thank you for your understanding!
