GOALS OF OUR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH
2008-2009

Religious Education Brochure - 2008-2009

Our religious education program was created to support parents who are raising their children with an appreciation of liberal religious values. We hope our young people will:

1) become part of a caring, concerned religious community;
2) develop a positive self-image;
3) form a Unitarian Universalist identity by learning about our values, traditions, symbols, and celebrations;
4) explore great religious truths;
5) demonstrate a sense of social responsibility;
6) affirm our interdependence with the universe and our responsibility to cherish and care for the earth;
7) sense the excitement and joy of learning as a lifelong process.

Our religious education program encourages individuals of all ages to explore religious questions and ethical values in developmentally-appropriate ways, apply the Principles of our faith to their daily lives, develop friendships with fellow seekers, and learn from one another.
Want to learn more about us? Read the brochure whose link is at the top of this page for further details, and come see us in action on Sunday morning.
